ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A former volunteer firefighter with the Chili Fire Department has pleaded guilty to a federal child pornography charge.

Vincent Steiner, 23, pleaded guilty to receipt of child pornography. Federal prosecutors say Steiner used the online gaming platform Roblox to meet minor girls and entice them to send sexually explicit photos. Those included an 8-year-old girl, a 12-year-old, and a 13-year-old.
Court documents obtained last year by News10NBC said the investigation started when a parent had reported in March 2025 that Steiner was texting his 12-year-old daughter after he saw inappropriate messages on his daughter’s phone.
The Chili Fire Department confirmed to us last November that Steiner used to be a volunteer member. The department told us he resigned last July.
Steiner is set to be sentenced in January. He faces a minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of 20 years in prison, and a $250,000 fine.
