The win in this Channel League tie-breaker gives the Royals (16-13, 5-3) second place over the Bulldogs (20-7, 5-3) which carries an automatic playoff berth.
The game was tied at 4 at the half but the Royals dominated the third quarter outscoring the Bulldogs 6-1 to seize control of the game. Sophomore Cody Clark scored from outside as did Lee to put the Royals up 6-4. Indy Roth scored back-to-back goals to put San Marcos in front 8-4.
The CIF-SS playoff pairings are released Friday.
