He has 484 yards and eight touchdowns, and is tied for seventh in the country in rushing touchdowns. He is the perfect complement to quarterback Kenny Minchey and the passing game, as he forces defenses to have an extra guy in the box.
For the Wildcats, one positive is that Baxter’s backup, Jason Patterson, has proven to be a dynamic running back as well. He had 361 yards and three touchdowns, and helps form with Baxter one of the best running back duos in the SEC.
While the Sooners offense hasn’t been elite all year, there is no denying that the defense is as good as there is in the SEC. For the Wildcats to win this game, they are going to want to have all of their offensive weapons available and ready to go.
