ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Center for Youth kicked off the 16th year of Fashion Week Reimagined with a show at the Glass Tent on East Main Street.
The event brought together a team of 17 designers and about 200 models to showcase their work. Shows are scheduled to continue Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“We need to be together, we need to be excited, we need to celebrate who we are. And here we are in Rochester New York having such a great time in support of young people who are homeless,” said Elaine Spaull, executive director of the Center for Youth.
Organizers said money raised from the show will go toward supporting homeless shelters in Rochester. The goal, which they are close to reaching, is $800,000.
