Faith Roberts, a finalist at the 2026 Futures Championships, has announced her verbal commitment to swim for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee beginning in the fall of 2027.
“I chose Milwaukee because I immediately felt at home with the team and coaches. I loved the team culture, the city, and everything the university has to offer both academically and athletically. I’m incredibly grateful to Coach Kyle and Coach Alex for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to continue my swimming career at the Division I level. I can’t wait to be a Panther!”
A senior at Centennial High School in Bakersfield, California, Roberts has competed for her school’s varsity swimming and diving team since her freshman year, and she is also a member of the water polo team. Roberts is a three-time swimming MVP for Centennial and holds eight school records. She currently swims year-round with Brazadas Swim Club, where she primarily specializes in breast and fly.
At the 2026 Juanita Allington Memorial Meet in February, Roberts turned in a series of fast swims. She placed 5th in the 50 fly (25.73) after setting a best time of 25.63 during prelims, and she placed 8th in the 100 fly (57.20), 9th in the 100 breast (1:06.10) and 24th in the 50 free (25.01 – PB).
Roberts raced at the Oceanside Sectionals a week later, where she earned a second swim in two events. She placed 14th in the 50 breast (29.79 – PB) and 26th in the 100 breast (1:05.68), in addition to contesting the 50 free (25.16), 100 free (53.59), 50 fly (26.02) and 100 fly (57.71).
At the 2026 CIF (California Interscholastic Federation) Central Section D1 Championship in May, Roberts clocked a lifetime best time in the 100 breast, claiming the runner-up spot in 1:03.30. She also took 4th in the 100 fly (57.13). She went on to compete at the CIF State Championship a week later, where she finished 21st in the 100 breast (1:04.51).
Roberts competed at the 2026 Futures Championship (LCM) in Sacramento over the summer, earning a second swim in two events. She placed 25th in the 50 breast (34.02 – PB), 27th in the 50 fly (28.48 – PB) and 57th in the 100 breast (1:16.93 – PB).

100 breast – 1:03.30 100 fly – 56.44 50 free – 25.01 100 free – 53.55A Division I Mid-Major program, Wisconsin-Milwaukee competes in the Horizon League, with the women’s team snagging the runner-up spot at last season’s conference championships. Based on the results from the 2026 Horizon League Championships, Roberts would have landed in the ‘A’ final in both the 100 breast and 100 fly, setting her up to be a key contributor right from the start.
Outside of the pool, Roberts is involved in her school’s Mock Trial team, serving as their courtroom artist. Her artwork won at the league level, which advanced her to the California State Mock Trial Championships. She currently plans to pursue a career in medical forensics.
The full list of recruits set to join Roberts in Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s class of 2031 currently includes Layla Eberle, Paige Blom, Lola Derr, Lily Janowiak, Victoria Simon and Maya Fadlalla, who should all make for strong training partners over the next four years.
