ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Cat adoptions will be free on Thursday, Oct. 15, at Lollypop Farm, for both the Fairport campus and the adoption center at the Mall at Greece Ridge.
Appointments are required for all adoptions. For Fairport, check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. and adoptions are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. The adoptions will run through 5 p.m. or until the line reaches capacity. The Greece location will operate under its normal hours or until no pets are available.
Kittens will not be free to adopt, and appointments are required. You can make an appointment online and learn more about the adoption process here. Potential adopters should bring their own cat carrier for transportation.
For those unable to make a long-term adoption commitment, Lollypop Farm also has a pet foster program to allow community members to provide a temporary home for animals. You can register for the program here.
