The company said it’s officially expanding its collection of snacking favorites to include something even more “indulgent,” and since the winter holidays will be here before we know it, Trü Frü decided the inaugural flavor should be inspired by classic holiday confections like cherry cordials and truffles. Introducing its own luxurious and gift-worthy treat this morning: Trü Frü Cherry Truffles.
The new Trü Frü flavor perfectly complements the Dark + White Chocolate Cherries it offers, and it’s coming as part of a whole new lineup. One that uses real fruit to tap into “iconic dessert flavor,” according to an official statement shared with Parade, which also explained that the new Trü Frü Indulgent Line attempts to transform decadent desserts into a layered, poppable format promising “indulgence in every bite.”
Trü Frü Introduces Cherry Truffles As Part of Its New Indulgent Line
Trü Frü Cherry Truffles pair real frozen cherries with a layer of smooth milk chocolate ganache and a crunchy dark chocolate shell. The brand describes them as the “perfect balance of sweet, subtly tart fruit and rich chocolate in every bite,” and are they ever!
While consumers will need to store the truffles in the freezer, they’re meant to be enjoyed 15 minutes after thawing for “peak flavor.” But if you ask us, we’d tell you that they’re perfectly enjoyable frozen, too. Especially if you’re big on texture, because they basically become bite-sized, poppable bits of chocolate-covered cherry sorbet.

Trü Frü Cherry Truffles are launching in limited-edition red-and-gold holiday packaging, each containing seven servings, making them great for last-minute holiday desserts or for snacking while gift-wrapping. The 7.5-ounce bags can be found in the freezer section of Target, Whole Foods Market, H-E-B and Wegmans stores nationwide for $6.99. Then, once the season wraps up, shoppers will, presumably, be able to find them at those same stores in standard Trü Frü packaging.
