Beyond Developments has unveiled its second commercial development in Dubai – The Yards Plaza by BEYOND. Situated along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, the new workplace destination is said to harmonise human well-being, business performance, and work-life balance through a comprehensive design approach. The project is expected to be complete in Q3 2029.
Following the success of BEYOND’s first commercial development (31 Above in Dubai Maritime City), The Yards Plaza is said to further expand BEYOND’s commercial portfolio. It integrates a workplace within a larger masterplanned community, embodying BEYOND’s design philosophy. The commercial setting is crafted to cater to the diverse needs of employees, fostering connections, facilitating movement, and encouraging productivity throughout the day, said a statement.
Adil Taqi, CEO, BEYOND Developments said, “Dubai’s growth has always been about creating an environment where ambition can thrive. As the city continues to attract businesses, entrepreneurs and talent from around the world, the workplace has to evolve with them. We believe the next generation of offices will be judged not only by location or efficiency, but by how well they enable people to perform, connect and live well. The success of our first commercial development gave us confidence in that proposition.”
He continued, “With The Yards Plaza, we are taking that thinking to the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road corridor, an area we believe will play an increasingly important role in Dubai’s next phase of urban and economic growth. Its position within The Yards, strong road connectivity and the continued evolution of transport infrastructure across the wider area create the foundations for a workplace connected to how people live, move and experience the city. For us, that is the future of commercial development, workplaces that contribute not only to business performance, but to the broader experience of the city.”
The Yards Plaza, a 272-office complex spanning 4-blocks, integrates retail and food and beverage options at the lower levels. Its design fosters a connection between the workplace and its surrounding landscape and community. The building’s architecture is said to be inspired by a sculpted landscape mound, with pathways, planting, and terraces thoughtfully integrated into the structure rather than merely surrounding it. Carefully carved openings and a continuous vertical façade create depth, shade, and dynamic light patterns throughout the day. The lower levels are animated by retail and dining spaces, the statement outlined.
Public terraces offer informal meeting spaces and outdoor relaxation areas. A business centre, padel courts, gym, and pool, all operated on a commercial basis, are also available. These amenities are complemented by shaded plazas and landscaped areas. Together, these elements create a workplace that prioritises well-being, movement, and connection throughout the workday, it added.
The Yards Plaza is not an isolated commercial building; it is a destination that embodies the everyday rhythms of business and life. By integrating offices with residences, retail, dining, landscape, and community spaces, it creates a holistic environment, the developer explained.
The developer also said that The Yards Plaza is part of its broader growth strategy; the company plans to expand its development portfolio further in Q4 2026 as it continues to establish its presence in key locations and asset classes.
