Global superstar Taylor Swift released her music video for her newest single “Patient Zero” at the VMA’s last week, with her video gaining a lot of attention in the swimming community.
In the video, Swift is joined by fellow superstars Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell, portraying the ghost of Farrell’s dead ex. Throughout the video, Swift’s character repeatedly attempts to warn Johnson, who portrays Farrell’s new lover, of his bad intentions.
While the storyline in itself proves to be a roller-coaster, one scene in particular caught the attention of swim fans. The scene depicts Swift and Johnson swimming side-by-side in a dark pool, with both attempting their best backstroke techniques. Swim fans have been quick to point out the moment, especially on X (formerly known as Twitter), offering their praises and critiques.

This is not the first time that Swift has “made waves” in the swimming realm. During her record-breaking Eras Tour, she was seen diving into the stage during one of her transitions, a move that also went viral at the time.
