For anyone who’s spent the week devouring every sneak peek of Disney Believe—from the brand-new Frozen dinner show with Oaken to the show-stopping Encanto Broadway production—one major question remains: When and where can we actually step aboard?
During the big reveal livestream event on Wednesday, October 7, aboard the Disney Wish, Disney Cruise Line officially answered that call.
Disney Believe will embark on its maiden voyage on December 18, 2027, sailing from its brand-new homeport of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The Perfect 4- and 5-Night Itineraries
Disney Signature Experiences
Meeting the growing demand for flexible vacation options, Disney Believe is debuting with crowd-pleasing 4- and 5-night itineraries heading into the sun-soaked waters of the Bahamas and Western Caribbean.
These shorter, high-impact sailings are the sweet spot for family vacations, easily pairing with a Walt Disney World theme park stay in Orlando or serving as an action-packed, entertainment-filled standalone escape. While specific port rotations will be shared as itineraries drop, guests can look forward to signature island stops—including days spent lounging on the white sands of Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Setting up year-round operations at Port Everglades is a huge win for travelers, too. Located just minutes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), the dedicated Disney terminal offers one of the smoothest, most seamless embarkation experiences in cruising, making the transition from plane seat to ship deck remarkably breezy.

A beloved 20-year Disney Cruise Line veteran who has spent the last decade leading entertainment teams across the fleet, Hitchcock is no stranger to the excitement of bringing a brand-new vessel to life. Having helped launch the Disney Destiny and served aboard virtually every ship in the lineup, he steps in to oversee an entertainment cast and crew of more than 200 performers, technicians, and activity hosts.
“Bringing a new ship to life is a special time and being the opening cruise director to close the Wish class is an honor and a privilege,” Hitchcock shared. “I can’t wait to share the Disney Believe with all our guests.”
