7 Emmerdale spoilers next week: Robert Sugden cuts a deal, Sadie King and Joe Tate plot against the Miligans, and Vinny Dingle faces verdict

Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) gains a troubled new ally in Emmerdale next week - grieving millionaire Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).

Not satisfied with burying Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) alive to avenge fiancée Dawn’s (Olivia Bromley) death, he’s now tasked Sadie with seducing her husband Caleb (William Ash) to bring an end to their marriage.

Dingle patriarch Cain (Jeff Hordley) clocks Sadie’s closeness to Caleb, and warns his brother to stay alert. He believes that there’s nothing to worry about and that he can outsmart the schemer. But how will he react when she turns on the charm?

Meanwhile, Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) seeks further revenge on estranged mother Kim Tate (Claire King), Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) gets his hands on The Hide Bistro and there's some mysterious letters passed around the village.

Plus, Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) says goodbye to his family as he heads to court.

Here's everything happening in the episodes of Emmerdale airing between Sunday 11 and Friday 16 October.

    1. Sadie King is roped into Joe Tate's scheming

Kim is growing increasingly concerned that Joe is using alcohol to bury his grief. He then drunkenly attempts to drive away from Home Farm, but Thea steps in and refuses to let him leave.

Joe revs the engine in frustration, yet Thea stands her ground and eventually gets him safely back inside. Kim thanks the copper for showing him such patience, before turning her anger on him for coming dangerously close to making the same mistake as Vinny did.

Later, Joe remains determined to get his revenge and brings Sadie into his latest scheme. He wants her to spy on the Miligans and gather enough evidence to bring them down. She soon comes up with a risky plan of her own - believing she can seduce Caleb and drive a wedge between him and Ruby.

Joe warns her not to underestimate the strength of their relationship, but Sadie remains confident that she can get what she wants... especially since she's developed a friendship with Ruby. As the women bond over a drinking game, the atmosphere soon turns revealing as secrets begin to spill.

Cain grows suspicious when Sadie makes it clear that she intends to stick around, prompting him to warn Caleb that she could destroy his life. He isn't convinced, and reckons he's far too clever to fall into Sadie's trap.

Later in the week, Joe is spotted carrying a mysterious brown briefcase, suggesting that another part of his revenge plan is already underway. Across the village, Sadie pulls Ruby back in by opening up about a heartbreaking story.

    2. Thea Ramsden continues her plot to destroy Kim Tate

Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) fears best pal Thea is carrying far more anger than she’s letting on. Kim is pulled over by the police while driving, but before things can escalate, Thea arrives and manages to get her off the hook.

Kim is relieved by Thea's intervention and drives away, but once she's gone, the attending officer questions their colleague about whether this was really what she wanted. Thea appears pleased with how events have played out.

Later, Thea explains to Serena exactly how she's managed to convince Kim that she's now firmly on her side. Serena remains deeply uneasy about what her friend is planning, knowing that she shows no signs of abandoning her quest for revenge.

Thea appears determined to use her mum's trust against her, and when the truth eventually comes out, the consequences could be devastating.

    3. Robert Sugden gets his hands on The Hide after manipulating vulnerable Gabby Thomas

Having missed her uncle Jimmy King's (Nick Miles) funeral following her hospital stay, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) visits his grave and lays down flowers. Robert approaches her and suggests that she could begin making amends with Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) by proving herself through her actions rather than simply offering words.

Gabby soon gives her aunt a reason to listen when she reveals that she may have found a way to put things right between them. She plans to give Nicola money from the deal she's struck to sell The Hide to Robert.

When Gabby suddenly breaks into a coughing fit, step-mum Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) urges her to explain why she was recently in hospital. Nicola can't help but feel sympathy for her niece, helping to thaw the tension between them.

Before long, the family are delighted to be reunited.

Later in the week, an emotional Gabby and Laurel hand over the keys to their restaurant. Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) is left confused by what is happening, prompting partner Robert to privately explain the situation and promise that he'll put an end to his scheming once the deal is completed.

Serena, meanwhile, is thrilled when Robert makes her his manager. With the reopening of The Hide just around the corner, Robert is looking forward to a fresh start. But could an unexpected conversation throw everything into doubt?

Robert proposes a high-stakes poker game involving Joe and Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), hoping to make a serious amount of money. Kev Barton (Chris Coghill) is keen to join in - until he discovers that Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) will also be playing.

Robert remains determined to stick to his strategy and come out on top. But will his gamble actually pay off?

    4. Vinny Dingle heads to court

Vinny pays his respects at Jimmy's grave by leaving flowers, before Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) invites him home for tea. He's stunned to discover that the entire family has gathered to see him, giving Vinny a much-needed reminder of how many people are standing behind him.

With his court date looming, Vinny is clearly frightened about what lies ahead. Mandy and Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) do their best to reassure him, insisting that he'll be back home with them before long.

As the reality of the situation sinks in, a sombre Vinny says his goodbyes. Aaron reminds him to hold on to the advice he's given him, before a nervous Vinny finally prepares to face court.

    5. Mysterious letters arrive for the villagers

A number of letters arrive for different residents around the village, but they don't all receive the news in the same way.

Joe immediately disregards his letter, while Nicola notices who hers is from and promptly throws it in the bin.

    Who are they from?

    6. Bob Hope gets some bad news while comforting Nicola King

Nicola remains frustrated that Jimmy's missing money has still not been found. Her situation takes an unexpected turn when Sadie arrives and asks her to hear her out.

Nicola is grateful for Bob Hope's (Tony Audenshaw) continued support, but she soon discovers that he's dealing with difficult news of his own.

    What has he learnt?

    7. Arguments erupt when Matty Barton learns of Samson Dingle's impending release from prison

Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) is struggling to cope with life on Emmerdale Farm, with baby Leyla's presence causing countless sleepless nights.

He prepares to move out of the farmhouse, with mum Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) offering him a place to stay at Wishing Well Cottage. But Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) can already sense trouble brewing, knowing that nephew Samson (Sam Hall) is due to be released from prison soon.

Sure enough, tensions quickly rise when Moira's decision to give Matty the room Sam and Lydia Dingle (James Hooton and Karen Blick) had earmarked for their son causes friction.

With battle lines drawn between Moira, Sam and Lydia, the disagreement threatens to cause an even deeper rift within the family. Moira's stance leaves her increasingly isolated from the rest of the Dingles, and Matty eventually tells her that it's time to let go of the past and forgive Samson.

Will they be able to find some harmony amid the chaos?
