Thank you for all the beautiful years we were able to frolic, dance, laugh, and love each other,” the official Instagram account for Widget Works, a children’s camp and social club located in Santa Monica and the Pacific Palisades in California, shared on Friday, October 2. “Thank you for being such an important part of our Widget Works family and for sharing your love, creativity, and sweet sassiness with us.”
The organization continued, “We will miss you and we will look for you in every wave, every seagull squawk, and we will chant your name among the ‘we are proud of yous’ — we love and adore you and our hearts ache to be without you but you will forever be part of our summers and we will honor you and remember all the beautiful days we were blessed with you. We love you Fiona.”
Chad and his wife, Kim Painter, announced the loss of their daughter in a joint statement on Wednesday, September 30, describing Fiona as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance.” (The parents also share daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.)
