ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Police arrested a man early Thursday morning after patrolling officers heard two gunshots near Lincoln Street, leading to several gun charges.
Officers said they found the man, Jerry Robinson, 37, with a loaded handgun in his pocket at a vacant lot. He told police he was just test-firing, officials said.
No one was hurt, but the man was taken to the Monroe County Jail and charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, prohibited use of a weapon, and open container of alcohol in public.
