When it comes to weekly travelling college football pregame shows, Fox and ESPN have been the 2 standard bearers for a while with College GameDay and Big Noon Kickoff.
These broadcasting behemoths have been duking it out to see who can capture the attention of more fans heading into the early slate of action, a battle that GameDay appears to have a massive advantage in.
It looks like Fox is making some changes to their team, with Andrew Marchand from The Athletic reporting on Saturday morning that the network has removed Dave Portnoy and Barstool Sports from the program.

He made his debut on the program back in Week 1 of 2025 in Columbus, Ohio for Texas vs. Ohio State, and was a mainstay for the entire year. He also appeared in all 4 episodes so far this season before the abrupt split.
Just before the news was announced, Portnoy took to social media and blamed Ohio State head coach Ryan Day, insisting the Buckeyes HC complained to the Big Ten and ended the collaboration. Here’s Portnoy’s full comments:
