LETCHWORTH STATE PARK — Regional Transit Services (RTS) will provide free shuttle services to Letchworth State Park visitors, only inside the park, over three weekends in October.
The shuttle operates from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 3 and 4, Oct. 10 and 11, and Oct. 17 and 18.
“Letchworth is a very popular place for catching the views of fall foliage, especially in the falls areas,” said Letchworth State Park Manager Douglas Kelly. “Because parking space is limited at the most popular view sheds, we wanted to enhance the visitor experience by offering an accessible shuttle option to get to the prime sites of the park. The shuttle service can ensure more patrons can have a safe and smooth visiting experience while visiting Letchworth State Park.”
The RTS shuttle will run on a six-stop loop within the park. These areas include the Lower Falls/Lower Falls Restaurant, Trailside/Nature Center, Inspiration Point, Glen Iris Inn, and the Middle/Upper Falls.
Letchworth notes that the shuttle only operates within the park, and doesn’t provide transport to the park.
