ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Haley Drake has made a name for herself as one of the top girls soccer players in Section V.
“She’ll get the ball and she’ll go through a lot of players and wouldn’t expect her to do that,” freshman teammate and sister Brianna Drake said.
“Honestly, sometimes it’s just a given. She always does her magic,” twin sister and teammate Alexis Drake said.
Coach Salvatore Butera said Haley stands out among the many athletes he has coached.

Haley scored five of her team’s seven goals in a recent win against Greece Arcadia. She credited her teammates for her success – both in that game, and always.
“A lot of the credit goes to my teammates that are giving me the balls that lead me to those opportunities,” Haley Drake said. “I just try not to think about it and find the back of the net.”
Haley’s twin sister, Alexis, has also played a key role on the team, even while dealing with an injury.
“She does her job on our defensive third. If I reversed Alexis and put her up front, she’d probably score as many goals,” Butera said.
Haley will continue her soccer career at Davidson, while Alexis will play at Shepherd University.
“It’s really fun because we both worked hard together and now I get to watch her path and she gets to watch mine,” Alexis Drake said.
Their younger sister, Brianna, is preparing to make her own mark on the field.
“She’s got the poise to play. She knows how to shield the ball. She reads the game real well. I think within a year of growth, I think you’re going to see Bri just following Haley’s footsteps,” Butera said.
“It’s something that we all enjoy and I think being able to play with my twin sister every single year leading up to this and my sister that’s in ninth grade, playing with her my senior year’s also been really amazing,” Haley Drake said.
