BLOOMFIELD, N.Y. — The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on Tuesday, who is accused of stealing a combined total of over $2,000 from two separate thefts.
Deputies say Gisbert J. Hanft, a 54-year-old from Prattsburgh, N.Y., stole over $1,000 worth of tools from inside a home under construction in the Town of Richmond and a separate theft of a Sithl gas saw, valued at over $1,000 from the Honeoye Central Schools. The stealing of the gas saw and tools both happened on July 13.
Hanft was charged with burglary in the third degree and two counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree. He was arraigned at CAP court and held in the Ontario County Jail without bail.
