CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — A person jumped from a second-story window and two dogs were rescued from a fire at an apartment complex in Canandaigua Tuesday.
Fire crews responded to Garden Apartments on Bristol Street just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Before crews got there, firefighters say one person jumped out the second-story window. That person was brought F.F. Thompson Hospital for medical evaluation.
Firefighters also rescued two dogs inside. The dogs were turned over to the Ontario County Humane Society, where they remain in its care.
The apartment directly below the fire sustained minor water damage as a result.
There’s no word yet on what started the fire.
