ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Organizers have released the dates for the 8th annual Roc Holiday Village. The free winter village at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park is set to open on Black Friday, Nov. 27, earlier than previous years.
Organizers will share more details on this year’s festivities at a news conference on Tuesday. In the past, the village in downtown Rochester has featured ice skating at the MLK Park outdoor rink, a shopping village, fire pits, and cultural celebrations. It has also featured crafts for kids at the Gingerbread House, live music at the Triple O Lodge, and visits with Santa. Last year, the village had more than 200,000 visitors.
This year’s festival will once again run for 16 days. Check back for updates on the schedule and when the Winter Igloos might go on sale. Here are this year’s dates:
Week One: Friday, Nov. 27, Saturday, Nov. 28, and Sunday, Nov. 29 Week Two: Friday, Dec. 4, Saturday, Dec. 5, and Sunday, Dec. 6 Week Three: Wednesday, Dec. 9, Thursday, Dec. 10, Friday, Dec. 11, Saturday, Dec. 12, and Sunday, Dec. 13 Week Four: Wednesday, Dec. 16, Thursday, Dec. 17, Friday, Dec. 18, Saturday, Dec. 19, and Sunday, Dec. 20Last year, Roc Holiday Village was named a 2025 national winner for Best Holiday Market. It was also named among the best ice skating rinks in USA TODAY’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
