ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Here’s a look at this week’s gas prices in Rochester and New York State. According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of gas is $4.47, which hasn’t changed from last week.
Regular gas prices
In Rochester, the average price of gas this week is $4.43, up one cent from last week. The average in the state is $4.48, also no change from last week.
According to AAA, the average price in Monroe County is also $4.43.
Diesel prices
AAA says diesel prices remain near record territory. The national average for a gallon of diesel is $6.45, down seven cents from last week.
The current average price for a gallon of diesel in Rochester is $6.41, up four cents from last week, according to AAA. In the state, the average price is $6.51, up two cents from last week.
AAA says this is close to the state’s highest recorded average diesel price of $6.54, which was set in 2022.
