The answer: “What is guinea?”
Robbins was in the lead at the end of the DJ round with $19,600, while Polsinelli trailed behind with $10,000 and Bruns with $5,400.
Both Robbins and Polsinelli answered FJ correctly, with everything coming down to the wagers. Polsinelli wagered $10,000, upping his total to $20,000 but falling just $1 short of Robbins’ total. Robbins added a wager of $401 for a total of $20,001, taking home the title of champion. Bruns got FJ incorrect, wagering nearly everything for a third-place total of $100.
Robbins will be back on Tuesday for attempt number 2.
