As soon as the first three episodes of Reacher Season 4 dropped on Prime Video, fans tuned in, and the show had 1.5 billion minutes viewed. It soared to the top and held steady for three out of the four measuring weeks. The only time it dropped was when Netflix’s Outer Banks and Beauty in the Black dropped, but Reacher reclaimed its spot the following week.
What is now in question is the book that the story will follow. The fifth season will adapt Child’s 20th Reacher novel, Make Me. He and his brother, Andrew Child, currently have 30 published books, and the 31st will be published on Oct. 20, 2026, meaning that there is still plenty of material to work with.
It’s rare that a series is able to see a heavy change of cast each season and still succeed. However, Reacher fans have always gone in knowing that each season will see a different cast, other than Ritchson’s titular character, although there is hope that Neagley and a few others will show back up now and then to help when the going gets tougher.
With Season 5 still in production, it’s not likely that Reacher Season 6 will premiere before 2028. Now, eyes are on whether Neagley, the recent spinoff, will get a second season.
