DCIB Construction has won the contract to deliver the Phase 2 Expansion of King’s College Hospital London – Dubai Hills. The company said that being appointed as the main contractor for the project marks a significant milestone in the company’s expanding portfolio of complex and specialised healthcare developments across the UAE.
As the main contractor, DCIB Construction along with its MEP joint venture partner – Menasco Mechanical Contracting – will lead the delivery of this technically advanced healthcare development. Other project partners include: Ensari Project Management and Development Consultancy as the client representative; AtkinsRéalis as the project management consultancy; HDP as the resident engineer and supervision consultant, and H+A as the lead designer.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held on 23 September 2026 and marked the formal start of the expansion. The development will increase the hospital’s capacity to 200 beds while expanding its medical, surgical and critical-care capabilities, including radiation oncology and enhanced specialist services. The project is scheduled for completion in 2028.
The groundbreaking ceremony brought together senior leadership including H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer and Kimberley Pierce along with key members of the project delivery team.

These highly specialised environments demand exceptional precision in shielding structures, high-density concrete, specialist penetrations, medical equipment interfaces and complex MEP coordination, it added.
