ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Saturday was Barktober Fest, hosted by Lollypop Farm at ESL Ballpark. It’s the second-largest fundraiser of the year for the nonprofit.
The festival had live music, contests, kid’s activities, and a large community walk with pets. There was also a bounce house, pitching station, a dog costume contest, and a table set up by BricksRoc, an independent LEGO store. The funds will help to support the shelter’s programs as it expands its Fairport campus.
“The amount of community support we have speaks volumes to not only our brand and our reputation in the community but it’s also an opportunity to give back to the community that’s given so much to us,” said Sean Farnsworth, communications director at Lollypop Farm.
Barktober Fest is the biggest dog walk in Rochester.
