If he misses the New Zealand tour, his next potential international opportunity could come during India’s ODI series against Zimbabwe. He could also use the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy or Vijay Hazare Trophy as a route back to competitive cricket, provided he regains full fitness.
The all-rounder has not played competitive cricket since the final stages of IPL 2026.
