Asia, the legendary prog-rock supergroup, surprised fans with the release of their new music, “Arcadia,” ahead of their upcoming album.
Marking a monumental milestone for the band, the current lineup features Virgil Donati, John Mitchell, Harry Whitley and Geoff Downes, the founding member and sole remaining member of the original lineup.
The group has proudly introduced the third single from their comeback album, Indigo.
Featuring Whitley’s distinctive vocals, “Arcadia” delivers a melodic progressive rock anthem that combines Asia’s signature 1980s sound with a fresh and modern energy.

“NEW MUSIC FROM ASIA! Asia have shared “Arcadia”, a new piece from the upcoming studio album, “Indigo”, out on November 6, 2026!” the Instagram caption reads, accompanied by a teaser of the new song.
Downes revealed that the song’s title traces back to a previous plan from 1985, when the band considered naming its third studio album Arcadia before ultimately choosing Astra.
View this post on Instagram“The original idea for ‘Arcadia’ was that it was going to be the title of the third Asia album, which we then later decided to change to ‘Astra.’ However, the word and concept have always been around us, and there have been many suggestions over the years to write a song about it,” the musician shared, per The Music Universe, adding, “So, here we are in 2026, 40 years later, and we’ve finally managed to bring it into being. ‘Arcadia’ is a historical Greek region and is depicted as an idyllic pastoral place free from the outside world. Our song symbolizes a retreat from everyday life, an escape if you like to a quieter place, something that we all need to do from time to time.”
As mentioned, the supergroup has been teasing fans with their comeback album, marking Indigo as their first record in 12 years since Gravitas in 2014.
At the same time, the upcoming album will showcase Asia’s new lineup and include John Wetton’s final compositions.
Indigo will feature posthumous recordings by English rock musician, singer and songwriter John Wetton, who died in 2017, including “Tattoo Indigo (Parts 2 & 3)” and “Chesapeake Bay.”
As for Asia, the band previously released “The Traveller (Into The Light)” in July as their lead single, followed by “Echo of You” in August.
