ESPN’s FPI has made predictions throughout the season, and they see the matchup between the Sooners and Bulldogs going the way of Georgia as the Bulldogs were given an 83.4% chance to win this game.
The Sooners were able to get back on the winning track in Week 3, but they defeated New Mexico only 14-6. Once again, John Mateer and the Sooners’ offense couldn’t get anything going. They rushed the ball 32 times for 61 yards against a defense that doesn’t have the talent of Georgia.
Gunner Stockton has been incredibly efficient for the Bulldogs, completing 38-of-45 passes for 583 yards and 9 touchdowns. Last week in the 45-17 win at Arkansas, he also showcased his running ability with 97 yards on the ground.
This is the first time these two schools have played since 2018, when the Bulldogs knocked off the Sooners, 54-48, in one of the best College Football Playoff games in history.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET and the game is on ABC.
