ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 19-year-old man is facing charges after being accused of shooting someone at a memorial in Rochester back in August.
Rochester Police say on Aug. 17, at around 10:15 p.m., a fight broke out in a parking lot on North Clinton Avenue where a large group was gathered for a memorial. They say during the fight, the suspect, Eric Brock, fired at least one round into the crowd, with a bullet hitting someone.
The victim, a man in his 30s, went to Rochester General Hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower body.
Brock was taken in custody by the United States Marshal’s Task Force and Monroe County Probation Tuesday. He’s charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Brock is currently being held in the Monroe County Jail on $15,000 bail. According to police, he’s currently on probation for criminal possession of a weapon.
