ROCHESTER, N.Y.– Aurora House will hold its annual Baskets and Brunch fundraiser on Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Rochester.
The event helps cover the cost of end-of-life care that the organization provides free of charge to community members. Aurora House has offered this care since 2010, supporting residents in their final weeks and months of life.
The fundraiser will feature brunch, complimentary mimosas and more than 100 raffle baskets. Second Look Boutique will host a fashion show and pop-up shop during the event.
Aurora House provides all its services at no cost through donations, memorials, grants and fundraisers. Volunteers help with resident care, cleaning, gardening, event planning, cooking meals and other tasks.
The organization also serves as a resource for information on hospice and palliative care, end-of-life concerns and grief support in the community.
