Ever the jokester, Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding had plenty of one-liners ready after his Rebels beat LSU, 32-24, on Saturday night.
With the victory over his former boss and past Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin out of the way, it was apparent that everybody around both programs was relieved to have the weight of that game removed from their shoulders.
Specifically, Golding called attention to Rebels’ Athletic Director, Keith Carter, as well as the University’s president, Glenn Boyce, who are likely glad that the weekend has concluded with no major catastrophes.
And as Golding said during his on-field interview following the win, Carter and Boyce should take some time to celebrate the result.
“I think Keith Carter and Glenn Boyce might have a beer tonight,” Golding said with a smile.
