WEBSTER, N.Y. — A local high school tennis tournament brought students together to raise money for breast cancer support.
The annual Pink Out Tournament at Webster Thomas High School drew about 50 girls from across the area. It’s more than just competition — the event raised funds for Gilda’s Club, which supports breast cancer patients and survivors.
For players, the cause added extra meaning to every match.
“To anyone who has survived breast cancer or battling it, just know that you are not alone and that you’re very strong and you can get through it,” a player said.
This was the fourth year of the event.
