ROCHESTER, N.Y. – We have a few light showers in the forecast this morning, but they’ll be hit or miss and not too intense, so we remain Green on the Threat Tracker. Showers will slowly taper off by this afternoon, but it stays cloudy as highs reach the mid 60s. There may be some partial clearing near the lakeshore this evening but overall not that great LOOKING a day, but still mainly fine for outdoor plans. Just remember the hoodie!
And remember to keep the hoodie on over the next few days as temperatures only get cooler. A cold front drops down from Canada overnight, bringing nighttime temperatures down to the upper 40s/low 50s and restricting our daytime highs tomorrow to just around 60 degrees! That’d be our coolest day since May 12th. Skies remain mostly cloudy, and we can’t rule out a light sprinkle at times. But overall dry.
Tuesday is the first official day of fall, and it will continue to feel like it with highs in the low 60s. It will be partly to mostly cloudy with a bit of a breeze out of the northeast up to 15 MPH. Our chances for rain over the rest of the week have gone down, and on top of that we should see temperatures slowly climb back up to more seasonable levels, with next weekend likely reaching 70 degrees.
