A closer look at O2 Leather’s full-grain accessories, from everyday comfort and design to durability and value.

O2 Leather has been working in the leather manufacturing and sales industry since 2017. The company has its office in Texas, while its leather products are produced in Turkey by experienced leather workers. O2 Leather focuses on making quality leather accessories, including Apple Watch bands and iPhone cases. The company uses genuine full-grain cowhide leather and combines traditional leather craftsmanship with modern designs. I like that their products are made with the idea of being something you can use every day while still having a more premium and timeless look.

For this review, I’m taking a look at two of O2 Leather’s products. The first is a classic leather Apple Watch band, which is classic brown and the second is the O2 Leather iPhone 18 Pro Max Leather Case. In addition to this they make a waterproof leather version which I have in black. The iPhone 18 Pro Max case is made from genuine full-grain leather and features a detachable magnetic wallet design. It supports MagSafe and Qi wireless charging, has RFID-protected card slots, and includes an inner protective shell with shock-absorbing edges. The wallet can hold up to four cards along with cash, while the raised edges help protect the phone’s screen and cameras. I’ll be putting both leather products through everyday use to see how they hold up, how they feel, and whether they offer the quality and functionality I expect from a premium leather accessory.

    Unboxing and Install

When I first unboxed the O2 Leather products, the first thing that stood out to me was the smell of the leather. It has that unmistakable genuine leather smell that you just don’t get with synthetic materials, and it immediately gave me the impression that these are made from real leather. Both products also have a very smooth feel to them, with the leather feeling soft and comfortable in my hands rather than stiff or overly treated. The craftsmanship was noticeable right out of the box, and I really liked the clean, premium look of both pieces.

Installing the Apple Watch band was simple and took just a few seconds. The connectors slid into the watch easily and locked securely into place. Putting the iPhone 18 Pro Max case on was just as straightforward. The phone snaps into the protective inner shell securely, and the leather exterior gives the case a much more premium feel than a typical phone case. The detachable wallet also attaches easily when I want to carry my cards and cash with me, but I can remove it when I want to use the phone without the added bulk.

    Overall Use

After using both products for a while, I have had a pretty good experience overall, although there are a few things worth pointing out. Starting with the Apple Watch band, it was pretty stiff when I first got it and was actually a little difficult to put on. After some use, the leather started to loosen up and became much more comfortable, but it definitely started out on the stiff side. I also found the band to be a little small for a men’s wrist. I ended up using the third-to-last setting to get it to fit me comfortably, which is pretty far down the adjustment range. Other than that, I really like the band. The leather feels great, and it has already started to develop a nice patina, which I think adds a lot of character to it and should make it look even better with more use.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max case has been a little more of a mixed experience for me. I really like the overall look and feel of the case, and I actually chose to use it most of the time without the detachable wallet. I prefer the slimmer feel of the case on its own. One thing I don’t really like, though, is that the case doesn’t cover the entire sides of the phone. The edges are left exposed, with the case mainly wrapping around and protecting the corners. I would personally prefer to see a little more coverage around the sides of the phone.

The leather itself has also started developing a really nice patina, which I like. However, I have noticed an issue with the corners of the case. It appears that the leather is glued and folded over at each corner, and because of the way it is finished, the leather looks a little wrinkled in those areas. I’ve also started noticing small strands of leather coming loose from the corners. That’s something I don’t really like, especially considering the price of the case. At the same time, I don’t want to assume this is an issue with every case. It could simply be a quality-control issue with the particular one I received, and I’m sure O2 Leather could address or correct something like this. Aside from that issue, I really do like the case and have enjoyed using it.

    Conclusion

Overall, I have really enjoyed using O2 Leather’s products, and I think there is a lot to like here. The leather on both the Apple Watch band and iPhone 18 Pro Max case feels great in the hand, has that genuine leather smell when new, and has already started developing a nice patina with use. The Apple Watch band did start out stiffer than I would have liked and is a little small for my wrist, but it has loosened up and become much more comfortable over time.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max case is the one product I have more reservations about. I really like the design, the feel of the leather, and the option to remove the wallet when I don’t need it. However, the limited side coverage and the leather starting to come loose around the corners are things I would expect to be addressed, especially at this price point. I can’t say whether this is an issue with the design or simply a quality-control problem with the particular case I received, but it is something to keep in mind.

Despite those issues, I think O2 Leather has done a good job creating products that feel and look like genuine premium leather accessories. The patina developing on both products is something I particularly enjoy, and I’m interested to see how they continue to look as the leather ages. There are definitely a few areas where I think these products could be improved, but overall, I’ve enjoyed having them as part of my everyday setup.
