CANADICE, N.Y. — Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies say crews battled a garage fire for over an hour in the Town of Canadice Wednesday.
It happened at around 5:12 a.m. Crews were dispatched to Sunset Drive in Canadice for the report of a structure fire. When crews first got there, they found the detached garage fully engulfed.
Crews fought the fire for over an hour. Deputies say houses on both sides suffered minor to moderate damage. Seven fire departments responded, along with National Grid and the Canadice Code Enforcement and Water Department.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
