The song was covered by several other artists over time, including The Little River Band, John Denver, Gram Parsons, and even Dolly Parton would often perform a cover version of the track during her live performances. In 2014, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day and Miranda Lambert performed a version at the Grammy Awards to honor the late Phil Everly, who had passed away from lung cancer.
Over time, though, the cover that is most notable and recognizable with listeners is indisputably Linda Ronstadt’s, proving her longevity as an artist.
Heart Like a Wheel and “When Will I Be Loved” remain soft-rock, generational hits today and can be found wherever listeners get their music.
