Morgan Fairchild began her professional acting career on the CBS daytime soap opera Search for Tomorrow. Still, she has recently returned home to CBS as the complex Dorthy “Dottie” Bright on The Bold and the Beautiful, and the beloved television icon has opened up about what that experience has been like.
Fairchild was recently interviewed by Robin Raven’s for Yahoo! Creators where the actress opened up about her legendary career and her recent pivot to do good with the launch of her podcast, 2 B*tches from Texas.
During the conversation, Fairchild discussed returning to The Bold and the Beautiful after making her first appearance back in 2009. Reflecting on her experience, Fairchild shared, “We always have a great time, and we can sit and gab and catch up.”
For Fairchild, the set makes a difference. She described it as “Warm and welcoming,” adding that the team is really open and inviting, making you feel a part of the family.
Over the years, Fairchild has worked with many actors on the series. “So far the scenes I’ve had, Jim J. Bullock is with me, and we know each other, but each time we’ve gone over there we’ve had a different set of actors who are working with us. We were catching up with some and then getting to know some of the others.”
The actress also opened up about working with The Bold and the Beautiful executive producer and head writer Brad Bell. She described him as “a nice guy,” telling a story about how, the first time she was on set, the award-winning showrunner came down, took pictures, and made a big deal out of the event, explaining that she truly felt welcome while on set.
Fairchild has also made numerous appearances on the ABC soap opera General Hospital as the recurring character of Haven de Havilland since her first appearance in 2022. Previous soap appearances include Days of Our Lives in 2017 as Anjelica Deveraux, and her time on The City as Sydney Chase.
