The victory capped an unbeaten campaign for Egypt, who overcame Tunisia in a closely contested final after trailing 14-11 at halftime. Egypt responded strongly after the break with a 6-1 run to take the lead. The team later built a four-goal advantage before securing the 31-29 victory and another continental title. Goalkeeper Moustafa Bayoumi made 13 saves for Egypt, while Yahya Alkordy scored seven goals and Youssef Laoloua added six. The result also secured Egypt a place at the 2027 IHF (The International Handball Federation) Men’s Junior World Championship, alongside Tunisia, Nigeria, Angola, and Guinea, who finished among the tournament’s top five. Nigeria defeated Angola 24-19 to claim the bronze medal, while Guinea finished fifth after victories over DR Congo and Libya.
