PHOENIX, Arizona (KEYT) - The 'Killer B's' of Bjornsson and Beninga stung Grand Canyon as UCSB defeated the Lopes 2-1.
Gauchos midfielder Steinar Bjornsson blasted a rocket past the Lopes keeper in the 72nd minute to snap a 1-1 tie for what proved to be the game-winning goal as UCSB finished up 2-1 on the road trip.
The Gauchos hung for the win on a point-blank save from keeper Owen Beninga in the final minute as UCSB improves to 3-1-2 on the season.
