Railways will play three home matches at Brabourne Stadium. They will face Uttarakhand from October 11 to 14, 42-time champions Mumbai from November 2 to 5 and Haryana from January 17 to 20.

Brabourne Stadium Set for Infrastructure Upgrade Ahead of Women’s Champions Trophy
The return of the Ranji Trophy is another step in bringing regular cricket back to Brabourne Stadium. The venue last hosted a Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Maharashtra from January 24 to 27, 2023, with the game ending in a draw.
CCI is also upgrading the stadium ahead of a major international tournament. The club is currently installing new floodlights at Brabourne Stadium and expects the system to be ready between October 10 and 15.
“We are in the process of installing new floodlights at the stadium. We’ll commission the new lights by Oct 10-15,” Khandwala said.
The upgrades come ahead of the inaugural ICC Women’s Champions Trophy 2027. India will host the six-team tournament from February 14 to 28, with Brabourne Stadium and Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara selected as the two venues.
Railways Look to Bounce Back After Disappointing 2025-26 Season
Railways have won the Ranji Trophy twice, in 2001-02 and 2004-05, but have struggled in recent seasons. They failed to qualify for the knockout stages in 2025-26 after finishing fourth in Elite Group C with 23 points from seven matches.
The team did end the campaign on a positive note, beating Gujarat by eight wickets and Services by three wickets in their final two matches. Bhargav Merai scored 160 against Tripura, while Mohammad Saif provided stability in the middle order. Raj Choudhary claimed a five-wicket haul against Tripura.
Railways will compete in Elite Group D in the 2026-27 season alongside Mumbai, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. With their home matches moving to Brabourne Stadium, the two-time champions will hope the change of venue can help them produce a stronger campaign and push for a place in the knockout stages.
