Brooke Williamson is going to some unexpected lengths to make life with Bobby Flay work.
During a September 8 appearance on Carson Kressley’s Off the Cuff podcast, Williamson revealed she’s undergoing allergy treatment because Flay’s beloved cats don’t exactly agree with her.
“I’ve been allergic to cats my whole life,” Williamson explained, adding that Flay’s Maine Coons make the situation particularly challenging. “These cats have more fur than you can ever imagine.”
Williamson even visited an allergist to explore allergy shots, which can gradually build tolerance. But because the treatment would have required weekly in-person appointments, that wasn’t practical for her schedule.
Instead, she said she was prescribed drops that she puts under her tongue every morning. “In 3 to 5 years, I should not be allergic to cats,” Williamson said. “That’s love,” Kressley joked.

“OK, she deserves that ring. I’m allergic to cats and I’m not sure I would do this,” one fan wrote in the comments of the clip on Instagram.
“BOBBY!!!!! She’s a keeper!!! Do not lose her!! ❤️❤️❤️,” said another.
A third said, “That’s love right there! I did have the injections and was very successful but yep, it’s quite a commitment.”

Flay has two very fluffy cats, Canelo and Stella, and has even given them their own nicknames. Canelo becomes “Canelli,” while Stella is affectionately known as “Go Go Boots” because of the white coloring extending up her back legs. “There’s no favorites,” Flay said. “They’re both just as important to me.”
Fortunately, Williamson appears to be planning on sticking around for the long haul, too. The chefs were friends and colleagues for years before their relationship became romantic, going public as a couple in March 2025.
Williamson also revealed in the episode that she’s shifting much of her life from Los Angeles to New York, where Flay lives. With her 18-year-old son Hudson attending New York University, she said she now has more flexibility to spend most of her time there.
