Saturday events
St. Ann’s Community Walk
The St. Ann’s Community is inviting people to come together for the third annual St. Ann’s Community Walk around the St. Ann’s Irondequoit Campus on Portland Avenue.
This year’s theme is “Aging Impacts Every Family.” Registration opens at 9 a.m., with the two-mile walk beginning at 10 a.m.
Funds raised through this year’s walk will support mind and memory wellness resources across St. Ann’s Community, including education and support for residents, families, and staff.
Fairy Godmothers summer wear sale
The Fairy Godmothers of Rochester is hosting its final summer formal wear sale at its location at Marketplace Mall, inside the old Dick’s Sporting Goods store.
It will be taking place from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. People will be able to shop a wide selection of new and gently used women’s formal wear and accessories. All proceeds will benefit the 2027 prom fair.
RCSD Special Education Resource Fair
The Rochester Central School District Department of Special Education and the Special Education Parent Advisory Council will be hosting the fourth annual Special Education Resource Fair.
The fair will take place from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Dr. Iris J. Banister School No. 33. Community partners will be at the fair to offer resources that support students with disabilities from pre-K to post-secondary.
Butterfly release
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and Ascension Garden Cemeteries will be hosting two butterfly release ceremonies, offering families the opportunity to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away.
The first ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the Ascension Garden Cemetery. The second one will be held at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 2 p.m.
Community Health Fair
There will be a community health fair from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Fourth Street and Peck Street Park. The fair will feature free food, health screenings, family fun, and community building.
9/11 Tribute Concert and Ride
New York Legacy of Heroes will be paying tribute to the heroes and victims of 9/11 by hosting “We Remember: A Tribute Concert and Ride Honoring 9/11 Victims and Heroes.”
First, there will be a memorial bike ride starting at 11 a.m. at the Lakeshore Hockey Arena on Ling Road. The ride will be about 90 minutes, and end at Barnard Park.
For non-riders, gates will open at noon. There will be a ceremony at 1:30 p.m., with live music starting at 2 p.m. To learn more, click here.
Joshacon Bar Crawl
The Fairport community is invited to take part in the “Joshacon” Bar Crawl, a community-wide scavenger hunt. Participants will search for hidden Josh Allen heads at participating bars/restaurants in Fairport.
It goes from noon-6 p.m., but organizers recommend 2-4 p.m. as the best time to go. There will also be a Josh Allen look-a-like contest at 3 p.m. in front of the smoke stack at the Cannery.

Free Community BBQ
Senator Jeremy Cooney and community partners will be hosting a free summer BBQ from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Mount Olivet Baptist Church on Adams Street.
Free food will be provided by Pop Style International, Big Daddy BBQ, Just Chick’n, and Netsins Ice Cream. There will also be family fun activities such as a bounce house, face painting, Seneca Park Zoo’s ZooMobile, and more.
East Ave Fest
The first annual East Ave Fest is taking place from 4-11 p.m. at the corner of East Avenue and Alexander Street. There will be performances from various bands on both an outdoor stage and three indoor stages, as well as food and other activities.

Sunday events
Great New York State Flea
The Great New York State Flea continues at the Rochester Public Market. This Sunday is “College Day” at the market, which will highlight Rochester’s college community.
There will also be various vendors selling new and used clothing, home decor, tools, collectibles, and more.

ROCovery Run/Walk and X-Challenge
In honor of National Recovery Awareness Month, ROCovery will be hosting its annual run/walk and X-Challenge to celebrate fitness and recovery.

Organizers say this event remembers those who have been lost to addiction, and the hope found in recovery.
Purple Foot Festival
The 30th annual Purple Foot Festival will be taking place at Casa Larga Vineyards on Turk Hill Road.
It takes place from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., and will feature activities such as grape stomping, grape pie-eating contests, tractor rides through the vineyard, specific activities for kids, and more.

Bills Block Party
The Bills Block Party is returning for the third year in a row.
The area of East Avenue from Alexander Street to Lawrence Street will be blocked off to traffic so fans can watch the Bills play the Houston Texans on two big screens. Neighboring bars and restaurants will be open and showing the game as well.
