‘Special Forces’ Recruits Face Their ‘Biggest Fears’ in Season 5 Sneak Peek

These celebrity recruits may not have realized what they truly signed up for with this must-see reality TV show.

In Us’ exclusive sneak peek of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season 5, participants like Mauricio Umansky, Oliver Hudson and Collin Gosselin are in for an unforgettable experience as they say goodbye to Hollywood and hello to the jungles of Malaysia.

“The jungle can kill you before the enemy even has a chance,” United States Marine Corps veteran Rudy Reyes says in the preview. “Do you have what it takes to be one of us?”

Former UK Special Forces soldier Jason “Foxy” Fox adds, “These recruits have been used to agents telling them that they’re the best thing since sliced bread.”

When they travel to Southeast Asia, it’s a completely different story.

According to Fox, 15 celebrity recruits from film, reality TV and social media must adapt to uncomfortable conditions, unpredictable terrain and harsh jungle warfare tasks. In this experiment, there are no votes and no eliminations — just survival.

“This is a little nutso for me,” Candace Cameron Bure says in the preview. “I’m going to face some of my biggest fears.”

While each and every celebrity is ready to push themselves, they may not exactly be prepared to all get along. When Ruby Rose sees disgraced politician George Santos as one of her costars, the actress makes her opinions clear.

“I don’t believe that everyone deserves a second chance,” she says. “Nothing’s ever deterred me from speaking my mind. I just wish I spoke out more. I probably still will.”

Brandi Glanville also can’t believe some of the celebrities she will be working with as she takes a seat next to George, 38, and Candace, 50.

“We’re not going to talk politics or religion,” she jokes, “and look who I’m sitting in between.”

Former NFL player LeSean McCoy appears to enter the competition with plenty of confidence. Once the special agents meet him, however, things could change rather quickly.

“I’ve missed being challenged and going up against people saying I can’t do it,” LeSean, 38, shares. “They need a true player in the room, and now I’m in the room.”

Selling Sunset’s Bre Tiesi, comedian Hannah Stocking, reality star Alexia Umansky, Olympic figure skater Maxim Naumov, actor David Charvet, former NBA player Matt Barnes and world champion boxer Alycia Baumgardner are also expected to roll up their sleeves when the competition begins.

Mark your calendars for the season 5 premiere of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test on Fox Thursday, September 24, at 9 p.m. ET, with new episodes streaming the next day on Hulu.
