Kenan Stadium has become a Chapel Hill staple during the past century, with some families sharing memories across generations. District Court Judge Hathaway Pendergrass grew up in one of those families, and he remembered his father’s stories from playing with Chapel Hill High School in the state championship game on the Kenan grass.
