After it was dropped by original distributor Prime Video earlier this year, Luca Guadgnino's new film Artificial has finally got a confirmed UK release date.
The film, which has now been picked up by NEON, will be released in cinemas in the UK and Ireland on 22 January 2027, just one month after its US release on Christmas Day.
The news was announced alongside the release of the film's trailer, which gives us our first glimpse at Andrew Garfield's take on controversial tech mogul Sam Altman, the founder of OpenAI.

Oscar-nominated director Guadagnino has previously been behind films including Call Me By Your Name and Challengers, while Artificial has been written by Saturday Night Live scribe Simon Rich.
Starring alongside Garfield are Yura Borisov, Monica Barbaro, Cooper Hoffman, Jason Schwartzman, Chris O’Dowd, Ike Barinholtz and Mark Rylance.
Ahead of its release, the film will get a Gala screening at this year's BFI London Film Festival, which will take place on Sunday 11 October, less than a week after the film's world premiere at the New York Film Festival on Monday 5 October.
When Artificial was dropped by Amazon, reports suggested it was because the film had portrayed Altman in a negative light.
An Amazon spokesperson said: "We have the utmost respect and admiration for Luca Guadagnino as an award-winning filmmaker – not to mention a longstanding relationship that we hope to continue."
The statement continued: "We believe that Artificial will be better served if it were released by a different studio and are working closely with the filmmaking team to find the film a new home."
Artificial will screen at the BFI London Film Festival from 11 October and will be released in cinemas in the UK and Ireland on 22 January 2027.
