Josh Hackbarth, Chief Marketing Officer, MGA Entertainment (the parent company of Little Tikes), tells Parade that they’re excited about the entire collection, explaining that they’re not “trend-driven toys,” but instead “playtime staples that have been part of childhood for generations.”
“Parents remember playing with them, and grandparents, aunts and uncles continue to gift them because they know they’re built to last and designed to inspire kids to play hard and dream big,” he explains. “Little Tikes has that rare multigenerational connection, and the Cloud Collection builds on it by giving families more ways to bring these beloved classics into their homes.”
He specifically calls out how the new launch has a “combination of nostalgia, lasting play value and modern design,” and with an official release date of September 15, 2026, it’s going to time up perfectly for the holidays. Why Little Tikes Is Updating Its Classic Toys for Modern Parents
Little Tikes has been known for their colorful staple products for decades—so, why the change?
“So many parents grew up with Little Tikes and are now creating those same special playtime memories with their own children,” Hackbarth tells Parade. “At the same time, families are increasingly thoughtful about how children’s products fit within their homes and personal design preferences. We saw an opportunity to bring those two ideas together: the trusted, iconic play experiences parents remember, refreshed in a sophisticated neutral palette that complements a wide range of spaces.”
He adds, “Parents shouldn’t have to choose between toys their children genuinely love and products that feel at home in their environment. The Cloud Collection delivers both.”

According to Hackbarth, this collection has been in development for over a year.
“We wanted the update to feel contemporary without losing the familiarity and nostalgia that make these toys so special,” he explains. “Every choice was made to strike that balance and ensure the collection appealed to parents while remaining just as exciting and engaging for children.”

“The Cloud Collection features an entirely new aesthetic,” Hackbarth tells Parade. “We’ve reimagined some of our most iconic products in a soft, neutral palette that feels fresh, elevated and right at home in today’s spaces.”
But that doesn’t mean everything has changed.
“What hasn’t changed is everything that matters most: the durability and quality of our products, all proudly made in the USA, and the active, imaginative play that has been at the heart of Little Tikes for nearly six decades,” he continues. “The Cloud Collection preserves the familiar designs and play patterns generations of families know and love, simply presenting these classics through a more modern lens.”
