ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say a man abandoned his car during a traffic stop, causing the car to roll into a police cruiser on Tuesday morning.
Officers say they stopped the car around 3 a.m. at Webster Avenue and Ellison Street to investigate the report of a man with a gun. According to RPD, that’s when the driver ran from the car.
News10NBC’s photojournalist saw officers searching the area and setting up a perimeter. RPD says the suspect hasn’t been found, and it’s asking anyone with information to call 911.
Police say there’s no threat to public safety. No officers were hurt in the crash.
