Chicago police are investigating after three people were seriously injured in a shooting Sunday morning in the Lawndale neighborhood.
According to authorities, officers were called to the 600 block of South Independence Boulevard just after 7 a.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired.
Three victims were standing outside in the area when a dark-colored sedan pulled up, with two suspects getting out of the vehicle and opening fire, police said.
A 25-year-old man was shot in the attack, and was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police say a 30-year-old man was shot multiple times, and a 28-year-old woman was also shot, and both were taken to area hospitals in serious condition, according to police.
No suspects are in custody, and detectives are currently investigating.
