A 42-year-old woman has died after she was shot in the Garfield Park neighborhood Sunday morning.
According to Chicago police, officers were dispatched to a call of shots fired at approximately 12:04 a.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of West Jackson.
Upon arrival, officers found a woman who had been shot multiple times inside a residence at the location.
She was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
There are no suspects in custody at this time, and Area Three detectives are investigating the shooting.
