In yesterday’s State of Play, a PlayStation LEGO set was unveiled to the world in all its greyscale glory.
The set is near 1:1 scale of the original PlayStation console, allowing fans to reminisce gaming memories as they build their replica brick-by-brick.
Complete of course with a PlayStation controller, the set is full of minute details, and here is everything that you need to know ahead of its launch.
The PlayStation LEGO set will be available starting from 1 October 2026 in the UK, and you can order it from PlayStation Direct or through the LEGO Insiders Early Access.
From the 4 October 2026, the set will be available online on the LEGO website and across LEGO stores – so make sure you don’t miss out!
How much will the set cost?
According to a blog post from PlayStation, the recommended retail price for the set will be £139.99.
In comparison to other consoles LEGO has recreated, including the SEGA Mega Drive which retails for £34.99 and Nintendo’s Game Boy which retails at £54.99, the price is certainly steeper.
However, due to the number of pieces and detail, this price range makes sense, especially considering the LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System was £209.99 on launch.

In terms of bricks, the set will be made up of a total of 1,911 pieces and will measure 10.5 inches / 26 cm wide when completed.
PlayStation’s blog also mentions hidden details and references, so keep your eyes peeled for Easter eggs.
The set also includes dioramas that reference Gran Turismo and Ape Escape, two games that launched on the original console.
Each diorama is customisable – the Gran Turismo diorama is a tiny race track with miniature cars, whilst the Ape Escape diorama is an island with a choice of a blue or red light on the monkey’s helmet.
Owners of the set will have the option to remove both game dioramas so that they can be displayed separately.
The set also has functional features, including a controller that actually plugs in to the console and interactive Power and Open buttons.
In any case, this is definitely one of LEGO’s more ambitious retro gaming sets.
