ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police Officer Daryl Pierson was killed in the line of duty on this day 12 years ago.
On Sept. 3, 2014, Officer Pierson was shot while chasing a suspect near Hudson Avenue.
The man convicted of killing him, Thomas Johnson III, is currently serving life in prison without the possibility of parole.
